Background
Dr. Hawes has been a practicing general urologist since 2004 and specializes in female urologic conditions including incontinence, pelvic prolapse, urinary tract infections, and interstitial cystitis. She also focuses on kidney stone conditions and disease.
Dr. Hawes is also a specialist in Axonics sacral neuromodulation therapy, an exciting new treatment for bladder and bowel dysfunction. Dr. Hawes was named an Axonics Center of Excellence in 2020 as a result of her experience and commitment to exceptional outcomes for patients living with urinary incontinence, including OAB. Chesapeake Urology is the first Center of Excellence for Axonics sacral neuromodulation in the U.S. and Dr. Hawes is among three Chesapeake Urology physicians designated as top Axonics implanters in the nation.
